“Gee, you’re doing it hard!!”

Sometimes I just smile and say that you should have got your dad to teach you to ride a bike when you were a kid, it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

That occasionally raises a smile in return.

I guess many people find riding a bike to even the supermarket hard: it must be, there aren’t too many parked outside.

On the other hand Arthur Richardson first circumnavigated Australia in 1899—1900 before there were roads and, I suppose, swimming those croc infested rivers up north with the bike.

That would be hard, not my plugging my way down even an unsealed road.

I haven’t noticed it particularly hard yet. When I do it’s probably time to stop.

Any difficulty is all in the mind.
