Day 29 | Lake Grace North Road: day's riding cut short by, well, a few things

If you think of a spot to meet another long distance cyclist who would have picked Lake Grace?
It’s kinda out of the way.
I was in the library, finding out it wasn’t supposed to be a free service, indeed they wanted to charge me for sitting while I tapped out a couple of blogs, chair use was mentioned, when a guy claiming to be riding a bike popped his head in.
Bike? I have to say he didn’t look quite as scruffy as your average traveller of this type.
Having resolved the user pays system, an exception in my circumstances, I discovered that yes, there was a second bike with panniers parked out the front. The entrance looked a little congested with cycles.
“Have to find a coat.” Humm. That’s drizzle out there. Again.
Barry’s heading Perth to Kalgoorlie via Esperance, and, Lake Grace. Neither of us seems to be on an obvious route.
He’s another long distance fiend having attempted to ride the Outback Way, a variety of roads that took him from Noosa, just north of Brisbane, through Winton, Boulia, the Plenty Highway, Alice, Uluru, Great Central Road to Warburton before the rear wheel collapsed 100km from Laverton and the trip had to be abandoned.
