Day 18 | Coronation Road: a 2km granny cog hill climb to complete the day's riding

77 km | zzOz total: 863 km

If you must travel by highway the Brockman Highway might be just the one to choose.

There’s not so much traffic, as befits a highway that links, umm, nowhere to not much else.

Actually there’s two types of traffic, remember I had all day to think about this, the camper van, preferred by the short term holiday maker, mostly the more upmarket vans at this time of the year, occasionally the inhabitants presenting a cheery wave and you can see them thinking, rather you than me, it’s bad enough driving out here.

Then there’s the larger sized 4WDs, often towing their matching sized home away from home, sort of like my own little caravan, except 1000 times larger, drivers usually grimacing, scowling, seemingly unhappy at their lot in life.

Me? If it’s a highway, might as well be the Brockman.
